The American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers is a trade association of power-operated automatic door manufacturers established in 1994 to raise public awareness about automatic doors and administer a program to certify automatic door inspectors.
International Door Association (IDA)
The International Door Association's primary mission is to provide programs and services to door and access system dealers, for the express purpose of enhancing their value and professionalism. IDA plays an important role in the process of quality creation and control by providing helpful programs and services to those who sell, install, and service the superb products produced by the door industry's exhaustive list of manufacturers.
Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA)
Accreditation by IDEA is intended to assist the general public in the selection of a qualified, professional door systems dealer when purchasing, servicing, or installing an overhead door, automatic gate operator, fire door and other industry products. Companies earning the Accreditation seal have demonstrated a commitment to industry excellence by completing a demanding study course, documenting good business practices and receiving recommendations from others with whom they do business.
IDEA Master Technician
A bundle of the following accreditations: Residential Installer Certification, Commercial Sectional Door Systems Technician Certification, Commercial Rolling Doors Systems Technician Certification, Rolling Steel Fire Door Technician Certification
Western Access Systems Association (WASA)
Western Access Systems Association (WASA) is a nonprofit association originally incorporated in 1983 as the California Operator & Door Association (CODA). WASA's mission is to promote the integrity and professionalism of the garage door and gate industry through consumer awareness and the use of licensed contractors.
Gold Shovel Standard (GSS), Certified
Gold Shovel Standard (GSS) is a nonprofit organization committed to improving workforce and public safety and the integrity of buried infrastructure. GSS believes that greater transparency in all aspects of damage prevention among buried-asset operators, locators and excavators is essential to drive continuous improvement, and vital to increasingly safe working conditions and communities.
Contractors State License Board (CSLB)
Established in 1929, the Contractors State License Board protects consumers throughout California by regulating the construction industry through policies that promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the public in matters relating to construction.
